Michigan’s Outdoor Discovery Center

A nature preserve and educational center, Michigan’s Outdoor Discovery Center is sure to delight the whole family. This attraction features native animals and fun play areas for children. It is open during regular park hours and has educational displays and tons of interesting facts about these magnificent animals. Michigan’s Outdoor Discovery Center is a nonprofit organization that provides educational opportunities for the west Michigan community. The Center is home to diverse ecosystems, walking trails, and live animal exhibits. Open 365 days a year, the facility also protects the natural lands in the area and preserves wildlife habitat.

The Outdoor Discovery Center is located in Allegan County on a 160-acre nature preserve. It is part of the ODC Network, which promotes nature education and conservation. Visitors can visit the Outdoor Discovery Center Visitor Center, which is conveniently located by the parking lot. It is open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday, so it is not a bad place to take the whole family.

The nature trails and outdoor exhibits are free to explore throughout daylight hours. Admission to the center is free, although donations are always appreciated. ODC members enjoy discounts on classes and special events. You can even eat at Peachwave, which is situated right outside the ODC parking lot.
